I accidentally deleted my steam entry in the start menu and need help with re creating it

I even re-installed steam hoping that it would show up automatically, but for some reason I don't know it didn't

first figure out if you installed the Steam application as a flatpak, or as a system package

• whereis steam or whereis steam-client

• flatpak list

Checked through mint install + doesnt show up on the flatpak list

alright, open file manager, press ctrl-L and enter /usr/share/applications

see if the official icon for it is there.

if it is, then copy it to desktop

if it helps, this is the command that it does

sh -c 'STEAM_FRAME_FORCE_CLOSE=1 steam %U'

rather than the /usr/games/steam %U it should be

then leave it and use the desktop icon now

you can rename the icon, just highlight and F2

dont mess with anything in usr/share/applications tho

I did remake the original entry with the papyrus logo on the start menu, but does not go "papyrus" on the taskbar, thats my thing see
