typically one uses a live usb with linux live distro on it, like Mint, Ubuntu, Puppy Linux, MiniOS, gparted-live, or Rescuezilla to read non-encrypted linux file systems if the main OS isnt there or broken

what happend was that the drive was moved to a pc with windows 11 on it

windows 11 could not see the drive unless I formatted it but thanks to some of the stuff here I was able to just give the driver to the pc

yes. n u could easily boot a live usb up on that new pc, and copy the files

yeah that was going to be the backup plan

what i did was get the driver and dump the files on to anouther drive then formatted the drive

#
