I use Mint. Feeling like updating my resume and maybe I'll look into getting a new job soon. What software should I use to make a resume in and save it to pdf?

I don't know whether LibreOffice has it built in from the start on Linux or not. If that's the case, tell me so. Up to this day I liked using canva. It's great. But I'd rather have something I can install on my desktop.

What do you recommend?

LibreOffice is included with Mint

But which app from the pack exactly? Should I go with writer?

Yes, Writer is probably your best bet. It's similar to Microsoft Word or Google Docs

I will go with that. It can save as PDF, right?

Is there any other software specifically designed for making resumes?

What I would love at most would be something similar to canva

yes it has "export to PDF" as a toolbar button

or in the file menu

never used canva so I can't comment. Another free office suite (installed by user as a deb from website, is WPS office)

WPS may be more compatible if you're trying to mess with an existing Microsoft Word-made resume

Any reason you need it as a PDF? Most application systems accept .doc files
