General question: Is it safe to install the nvidia drivers and also install vulkan? Or should it be all one or the other? e.g. is the vulkan system something that co-exists with the mfgr drivers? Or does that cause problems?
I'm asking because I want to install:

on an old(ish) laptop running Linux Mint 21.3 cinnamon which has a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M and the install of the CUDA tools looks to be /freaking insane/ so I think I just want to try Vulkan instead?
