I'm trying to install lmde but for some reason the screen resolution is like blown up to the point that I can't go through the installation I was wondering if there is a fix for this

try setting the resolution higher in Displays settings.
or logout, click the circle with mountains in the password field, and pick Cinnamon - software rendering
then press enter (no password) to log back in
then change res. higher
if u have nvidia card, make sure to turn off Secure Boot in BIOS BEFORE installing nvidia drivers from Driver Manager in Mint

lmde doesn't have driver manager btw :(
