wine is an option, however mint ships really old wine and you may want to use the external winehq repo.
do note it is very bare-bones and terminal utility, you may want to use some other like lutris, bottles or heroic launcher for epic, gog games. adding the program .exe as a non-steam game and enabling compatibility in steam can work sometimes too
do note some software just is not supported, e.g games like Fortnite, or Adobe or Microsoft office suites
