This is insane.
props to you man.
Woah wtf is this
holy moly how in the world did you pull this off
sonic adventure 2???
What is sp
thought that was for dreamcast
the original gba had some bad stuff so nintendo released "sp" an enhanced version of the original gba
sp stands for special edition
it also had some custom editions like mario edition and the pokemon edition
(its just different colours)
the original gba was a plain handheld but sp was a flip type handheld like the DS
gba used double a batteries but gba sp actually had a rechargable battery with a charger cable evrything
Link?
THIS COUNTS AS A RICE SETUP.
no problem
It do
technically its not a gba its some other handheld
RG35XXSP TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION Color Silver, Gray, Black Transparent, Blue Transparent Screen 3.5-inch IPS full viewing angle, OCA full lamination/ 640*480 CPU H700 quad-core ARM Cortex-A53, 1.5GHz frequency GPU dual- core Mali-G31 MP2 RAM LPDDR4 1GB Storage 64GB TF/MicroSD System Linux 64-bit WIFI/Bluetooth 2.4/5G WIFI 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluet...
reminds me of that one guy who got xfce running on some random knockoff nintendo game console
Lol
WOAH!
COUNTS AS A RICE SETUP, IT RUNS LINUX
PLUS THE BRAND HAS A CULT FOLLOWING BEHIND IT
is it like a special distro
that is a lot of caps
ITS OFFICIAL TISSUE OVER HERE 🔥
you got it to run linux??
sorry, this is just a legendary moment in linux server history
linux community is really creative
it comes with linux if you purchase from the China warehouse
inspires me to never stop learning
but I loaded a custom theme to completely change the look
also we don't have a linux mint server edition
woah they have their own distro techinically that means
just Ubuntu based and LMDE
I mean I use to thought that putting linux on everything was a joke, but I'm glad I was wrong
👀
where did you buy this im curious and i want a copy
what bout edge iso
Ubuntu server is great
oh i see anbernic?
those are no longer offered remember?
It has:
- FTP Support through web browser
- Easy theme conversion
- Retroarch built-in
ok brb purchasing

Can we install mgba on it?
YOU NEED TO PURCHASE TWO SD CARDS AND A (5V/1A) power brick.
what the hell is THAT
retroarch is GOATED
best emulator ive ever tried
iirc, you absolutely can
forgive me, is there a reason why we need 2 and a power brick?
retroarch has mgba core inside it too
Dreamcast works, but it WILL run hot
Its good mostly
run ps1 games?
i like its UI too
UX, not so much
Mgba has more options to customise, retroarch is just frontend
ye bc ps1 is much weaker than dreamcast
so ps1 homebrew games can run too
retroarch is not just a frontend it has many many individual core and game options
maybe 🤔
Retroarch is just frontend
https://anbernic.com/collections/handheld-game-console are these prices bad?
Idk if it has exclusive cores
yeah, but it might run warmer than older systems
it doesnt have any standalone cores but rather cores from other emulators all put into one big frankenstein monster app
with more options for cores
sometimes more than the actual emulator
rg35xxsp is the most popular, it has a literal cult following the handheld scene, i got mine yesterday, set up MuOS CFW, and im understanding why people would die for this thing
It actually have less features than actual emulators bit I can just "work"
you can also define game-specific things like controls for a racing game that you want different from the global config
No one is going to die for an Anbernic
ehh, its debatable, some cores have less options, some have more
Yea
it also has a built in dpad to analog mode
amazing handheld imo
Since it's just frontend for most emulator cores, it's options are mostly same
average retroid user
def NOT gonna buy it
i still have enough money for it but im trying to save up to the big 100 OMR
Don't get me wrong I also love retroarch
Retroarch can mess with performance rather if you just used the program separately, but it’s for some titles.
like SNES and all the 8bit shit, RA can do it
i use retroarch so i hhave all my emulators all in one place rather than me looking through a million ROM files
but mid-high end, retroarch might be dodgy
i love its library feature
i get my games legally, so if they run like ass, its the frontend or the individual emu
im running a 12 year old thinkpad t420 gives all my retro gaming needs, with good performance
my last few posts about linux have all skyrocketed 🔥🔥🔥
Retroarch also skips bios issue
i might say something that would get me banned so ill stay quiet
I love the Linux community dawg
say it in dms, idc
me too
not the arch one however
i already know what you’re gonna say tho 💀💀💀
linux community is very creative
this is a prime example
Gentoo community is also good ngl
True
People are very humble there, they never force anyone or make fun of people to use other distros
I’m not familiar with gentoo, but a friend of mine gave me Tails on a USB, that’s my first ever Tor experience
daijisho is a cool frontend, looks very nice and even supports frontending individual retro arch cores
only for android though
it was boring asf
ye i love the people there
Has anyone tried emudeck or retrodeck?
i was surprised to see people (like you) openly help me as a beginner, especially on mint.
it was very refreshing
Tails is not Gentoo lol, its debian based
I don’t own a Deck yet, but I would love one
when your name is steve balmer of course its gonna be the helper dude
oh no, I was just stating that randomly 🗣️
You can get it on normal desktop as well
pluh
he was one of the people who said the fatal last words before helping me setup i3
You can?
haven't you heard, its been passed all along the linux community
Retrodeck also have frontends but putting roms in correct folder is a mess
i always loved retroids
Hehe, thanks
I could probably port it to MuOS if I tried 👀👀👀
Of course and it's very good experience
my first experience with retro gaming was when my cousin told me to try pokemon fire red
he taught me how to setup an emulator
i really loved that game
I think there are better frontends for smaller device
Nightfarers,
the registration to participate in the #ELDENRING #NIGHTREIGN network test will open today at 15:00 CET | 06:00 PT | 23:00 JST.
The network test will be held on PS5 & Xbox Series X|S. The full game will also be available on PS4, Xbox One & Steam.
That's my first emulator experience too lol
it was on a mobile phone running john gba
There is one linux distro called batocera linux, which is made especially to make any computer retro console
than i went for sega saturn emulation with retroarch, i liked it, favourite games were rayman and daytona USA
Same, I also played on jhon gba
sega saturn is such an underrated console
sega dreamcast was even better though
great games, good graphics, its got it all
it was nothing though, because the ps2 was at its time
