Is Secure Boot enabled on your machine?

terse grotto
#

damnit i forgot to dissable it mb

pseudo compass
#

It appears to be locking your nvidia driver. You can disable Secure Boot, or enroll it in the MOK.

#

It is possible that the error message was basically telling you "no GPU found", because the driver could not be loaded. Basic desktop rendering can be done in a fallback mode, but games need the actual driver to be loaded.

Mint is not booting when safe boot is off

#

Weird

#

Secure boot

#

God I’m just tired today

pseudo compass
#

It should. But you could also keep it on, there should be a prompt during boot to enroll some key in MOK or something.

#

yeah problem solved

#

at the cost of redownloading mint

#

but it worked

@terse grotto run Marvel Rivals with SteamDeck=1 in the launch arguments. That got rid of the boot crash for me.

Did it work?
