#how to install minecraft bedrock edition on mint without buying the pocket edition
34 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
yes, he can go to Google play store and buy minecraft https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mojang.minecraftpe
he doesnt want to pay for the mobile version because he has played this game before for free
given that its built into the minecraft launcher usually
kinda weird that it doesn't work tbh. very few situations where Linux doesn't have the answer
i understand your confusion, however, mojang does not provide an official way to play minecraft bedrock edition on linux.
however there are unofficial community alternatives such as mcpelauncher for Linux:
https://mcpelauncher.readthedocs.io/en/latest/faq/index.html
yeah that requires you to own MCPE
which we established isn't the case
you can also try free alternative voxel games such as minetest. it is installable with your software manager or flatpak install flathub net.minetest.Minetest
Bedrock edition is not free.
comes with Minecraft launcher on windows though
without paying
you need to log in to play...
he had it before
will he be able to play with his friends on bedrock servers
he has java edition already
it worked on windows
you can send a complaint letter to mojang and tell them to make bedrock avaible for linux
otherwise no one can do anything here
he does
correct he can't access it so he wants some alternative
well, if he plays bedrock mc with his microsoft account on windows, maybe an unofficial bedrock launcher would work
not too sure though
we tried the community one but it requires him to buy MCPE
unfortunately it had to be on his Google account
yeah google apps is annoying in that regard
so what do we do
lot was right. you cant do anything.
so, we are cooked essentially
He meant will he be able to play with his friends using Luanti (formerly minetest), which is obviously an entirely different game and cannot play Minecraft.
obviously
but since there is no other way than buying the game from google store and using mcpe launcher, which he doesn't want to, it's as far as good ideas go
