I tried editing the slick-greeter.conf file but the changes are not reflected.

2 things: also see login manager settings app, also make sure the font is in /usr and not somewhere like your /home

the font is in usr/share/fonts

alright so i tried it again

the font did change in the top panel thingy

but not in the login window
