it may not be the exact answer you are looking for, but you can enable auto-updates in the update manager. that way you don't really have to update manually and enter the password

Hi, im trying to figure out how to restrict access for user to still be able to use update manager, but at the same time not have sudo privellages, is it possible? or a similar effect?
Is there a group one step below sudo ? Or is there a way to create it, please help. ._.
