#Bluetooth not working
13 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
rfk-block is software enabled.
what do I do?
Im not sure what it does actually, but Google says it can be disabled with sudo rfkill unblock all
I just know it probably shouldn't be enabled if you want to use your device
I don't think that's it. I turned the bluetooth radio back on and it isn't soft or hard blocked
please share the result of inxi -Exxxz and rfkill list
Generally speaking because not all hardware supports Linux it is advised to check the spec sheet for peripherals. Some advertise they support Linux directly one can also view others reports in google
linux-hardware.org has some info for instance https://linux-hardware.org/?class=usb:*-e0-01-01
you can also find threads where people discuss things like best blank for Linux where people weigh in on what works best for them
The gold standard is of course OEMs that explicitly support Linux
Newer Realtek chips tend to have crap or no Linux support. The gold standard for Bluetooth (and Wi-Fi) is using an Intel AX210 M.2 card. It is not even expensive.
The first mistake is kinda buying insignia anything
