#how to erase a reference to a USB
11 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
mount: /mnt/usb-General_USB_Flash_Disk_1103105800002504-0:0: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda, missing codepage or helper program, or other error.
dmesg(1) may have more information after failed mount system call.```
sounds like a weird bug, maybe just make a partition there??
did not remove the corrupt reference
either I lost my mind or this is the 3rd thread since yesterday with the same exact issue that I never saw before
is there a way to completely reset Thunar short of a full reinstall or somehow DELETE that corrupted patition reference?
possibly, but I don't know a fix to this
i tried a complete and utter wipe of the USB using a dd command to write 0s all over it
that didn't work either
I can't find any solution online. but try to reboot, hold/spam ESC, then select advanced options and an older kernel, like 6.8.0-45 (3rd option probably)
after bumbling for a bit, i found a solution, create a disk partition with the EXACT name as the corrupted one,
