I downloaded it wrong and now the whole boot is kinda messed up, but when I look for the Mint partition in Windows it doesn't show up. Should I uninstall it through the bios and if yes how? (I have no idea what kind of laptop I have but it's an HP on windows 10, if that helps)

Ps. Mint terminal is also messed up so I don't think I can use that to uninstall it and it's become the main boot.

what you do is first ensure Windows Fast Startup is off in Windows.

#

then you check the BIOS mode in msinfo32 and make a mental note

#

(let's just say for example it states it is in UEFI mode)

#

then you boot the live USB up in that same mode (example above: in uefi usb storage device mode)

#

then just run the installer and reinstall over old mint. it gives option

But let's say I want Mint gone from my pc entirely? I'm not tech savy so I think I'll mess up re-installing it.

then set ur bios to boot first to windows boot manager

#

then use windows disk management to stretch/extend c: partition back to full remaining size on disk
