Nothing happens after I fill out the webapp details and hit "ok"; and nothing appears on the start menu either..

can you start it from terminal and then do same thing as on video so that It maybe shows errors?

that directory exists by default in Mint 22 but it says it doesn't on your end

Is that error message accurate?

Is /usr/share/webapp-manager/firefox/profile truly absent?

It is indeed absent.

Folders generally don't delete themselves if you reinstall the package that should recreate the deleted files

You are right. I had at some point purged firefox and it is likely that I deleted it then. Thank you very much for the help!

generally speaking you should avoid editing files provided by packages save only for the configuration in /etc which you are expected to edit
