How To Install Emulation Station Appimage?

I've been sitting here for hours trying to do this...

I have an appimage but how do I actually install it?

Please note that I'm completely green linux user, if you tell me to do something without explaining how to do it, I won't be able to do it *

right click the appimage file, check Properties

in prop's window, go to permissions, mark as executable. close that window, double click the file to start it

you can make an apps folder in your user home folder, and place it there, and also ctrl-shift-drag it to desktop to make a symbolic link to it there
