so u mean it's a laptop, and only line-out works, but not the built-in speakers?
the built-in work when i plug the jack cable
the port of the cable
headphone
oh it is an jack to jack cable i can plug it to my phone and the laptop
ok. the proper name is male-to-male 3.5mm stereo cable
i can also heard song with my laptop speakers from my phone
ah ok
do you have headphone to test?
euh yes
test that, then run alsamixer in terminal
press F6 to pick soundcard, then maximize it all
press F3 to show outputs only
turn speaker up, test with a music file
make sure the speaker column does NOT have an "m" under it
if it does, highlight it with arrow keys, and press m on keyboard
i can't
nothing else to do then. I see sof audio in the card. those are very incompatible with linux. you're lucky to have sound at least with the plug filled.
"lucky"
jam something like this in there
something to trick the motherboard
u can get some info by doing inxi -SCAxx and see if it is indeed assigned sofaudio driver. problematic chip. can google the info
can i emulate the jack?
I highly, highly doubt it. there's contacts in the female jack that tell the motherboard when something's jammed in there. usually it turns the onboard speakers ON when nothing is stuck inside. In this case, it's behaving oppositely.
there is no command to say to linux "hey a jack is plug"
oh
i already had this issue on win10
i just install driver easy, which found to me the drivers i musst install
how to install intel smart sound drivers?
