Description:
When I plug my headphones into the audio jack they aren't detected. I don't know what to do.

Steps to Reproduce:
I just plugged them in.

Expected Behavior:
To be able to hear audio or to use the mic on the cord.

Actual Behavior:
Isn't detected in the system as far as I can tell.

Additional Information:
Headphones: OneOdio
Mint Version: 21.3

Just want to add that I am still a little new to linux so I don't know many commands and whatnot but any help would be very great!

Do you mean it fails to automatically switch to headphones or that they don't show up in audio settings?

#

You can use the built in mint sound settings or the more comprehensive pavucontrol which is either installed or installable and comes up in menu as the "pulseaudio volulme control"

#

If the problem is it wont switch automatically that is one issue

#

if its not detected at all I would suggest trying the device in another port if such exists to test if there is an issue with the port itself
