lsusb look for an entry that mentions something like sony entertainment or something along those lines ( i dont remember the exact name but it should be similar)
then sudo apt install ds4drv (ds4drv is the driver for dualshock4)
Ight
run it with ds4drv
To test controller input, get this sudo apt install joystick
Then run jstest /dev/input/js0
I'm updating my packages rn
Make sure your dualshock4 is connected via USB during this process
it should just hook up and work
at least it does for me
have you tried it in a game?
one of the great things about linux is that dualshock controllers work out of the box
have you tested it in a game? @winter owl
yeah i just hooked it up and it works
https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad i used this tool
Displays info about all gamepads connected to your computer. Check buttons, joystick axes, drift, and more. Works with all controllers and joysticks in a modern browser.
i didnt install any drivers or anything it just worked
even the built in heaphone jack on it worked
I was gonna use it for dolphin emulator
does it work using this website? @winter owl
I can use the touchpad as a mouse
yes
alright, so the problem is in dolphin not detecting the controller, not in the drivers
it seems to work for me in dolphin after selecting controllers > pressing configure on the port 1 controller and under device selecting evdev/0/Sony Interactive Entertainment Wireless Controller
i dont have any roms to test this with but i was able to remap keys and it recognized the inputs
ds4drv was last updated 7 years ago, it is no longer required
did you manage to do it using this method? @winter owl
