When I run the windows 10 installer, everything works fine until I have to choose the drive to install windows on. It doesn’t list any drives. I have a 512gb drive in my computer, and there are no hardware issues. What could be causing this?

Steps to reproduce:
Run windows 10 installer from bootable drive
Proceed until screen where you choose what drive to install windows on
Nothing is listed

Expected behavior:
The drive in my pc should be listed

Current behavior:
My drive is not listed, so I can’t install windows.

Fixed it by installing a driver.

2 things may cause this. either you need to prewipe the whole drive (for example by making a new partition table with gparted=live bootable environment on CD/USB)
