Abandoned: I've switched to Kubuntu, so I don't need a solution to this now.

UPDATE: Seems to be a mounting permissions issue, see first comment, still need help /UPDATE

I've been on the Steam Recording beta pretty much since I moved to Linux 3 months ago, and it's been working fine, but last night after an epic losing streak in Rocket League I wanted to compile my misery and found that it hadn't actually recorded.

When I check the recordings it's not worked for 5 days (see screenshot).

I've looked in the settings, tried turning it off and on again, but it just doesn't seem to be engaging.

I'm on Linux Mint 22 with Plasma Desktop, the graphics card is a 4080 super and I've double checked driver manager I'm on 550.107.02-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 which I think is the latest driver.

The client is a beta, so I'm sure it may be subject to flaws, but it was just in case anyone else was using it and it was working/not working for them.

Thanks!

OK some progress.

When I changed the recording drive to my OS drive, it started to work again. When I changed back to the recording drive it doesn't.

I tried to test copy a video file to the drive and it wont even let me paste it.

When I check the permissions, it's changed and now says I'm not the owner? So I'm guessing some OS update 5 days ago broke this?

It's an NTFS drive that I share between my Windows and Linux for recording use.

Any suggestions for taking back the drive again?
