that's a very exotic setup. You're probably better off switching to a Wayland distro that natively comes with Plasma 6. Try Tuxedo OS

I can give that a try.
I forgot to mention I also don't have an iGPU because of my CPU being an i9-10980xe.

Any chance a maybe failing GPU might cause this? After upgrading from mint 21.3 to 22 every monitor connected to the 2080 ti has artifacts regardless of the os. It wouldn't surprise me if it failed with weird timing

This can be closed. My 2080 ti failed, and I replaced it with a 4080 super which required the 1050 ti also be removed. Mint works normally now.
