seems like one on each drive.
where is the current working windows installation on? c: or d:?
go to file explorer
go to the path bar
or rather
in file explorer, click "computer" on the side
it should then id the drive in use for windows
ok good.
u should change the label of drive d;
it's confusing as is
do u have data to keep (on d)?
is drive encryption on?
check your bitlocker settings
if it's off, good
run admin command prompt and do chkdsk d:
have it repair errors if needed
if it's a mechanical hard drive, also I'd recommend defragmenting it before attempting to resize partitions
ok so that's good.
excellent. just check on those other things I said, then reattempt to shrink it
yeah that may take some time. maybe an hour, maybe less
then once done, right click D: in Explorer, >Properties and put a better name in the label field.
if you manage to shrink it, then follow this post to do manual linux install to it safely
No, you can't install to your boot drive
you can remove E and select install alongside windows
it will occupy the 100 free gig space
then remove the E partition from windows
and do as I said
