yeah if u installed kde-standard instead of kdeplasma-desktop you got extra apps but it's not supported on Mint
if u attempt to delete it, either via command line, or synaptic pkg mgr, it will warn u that it may also remove other stuff, it's up to you if ur willing to agree
right click on the up arrow icon near the systray clock
u can adjust prefs to hide stuff

you can look online, it's definitely possible, but may be a bit complicated and require terminal
