So, in this case, I want to use LibreOffice to open corresponding files with elevated privileges. When I look through the list of available applications, none of my flatpak applications show up. I can add them with a command, but I couldn't manage to actually do it. Pointing it to the flatpak executable does nothing.
How do I proceed?
#How to make flatpak apps visible while using a root privileges

try flatseal. read about it.
What do I need to enable for root to see Libreoffice? There are too many choices there.
need to enable libreoffice to see certain disk folders
is it just for a word processor app?
it'd be way easier to use abiword (native app and lightweight, quickloading word app)
then just sudo abiword and open a text or doc file anywhere. (use extreme caution with what system files you mess with, and back them up first)
My goal is a little different. It is a vector graphics file, but it doesn't matter.
The problem is that when I am on elevated privileges, NONE of my flatpak apps show up in the list of available applications.
So, how do I make flatpak apps visible while on elevated privileges?
idk if flatseal can't help im out of ideas
I enabled the ones with exclamation mark myself. Still did nothing
flatpaks are NOT meant to be sudo-driven
I thought I could execute them with a custom command?
I did manage to make a few apps run this way, I just don't know how 😦
why not copy the file to your home folder, change its permissions using a rootmode file manager, and thenedit it normally using any software?
