Just put Mint Linux on a chromebook. It lacks space to be able to have Steam so I have to reinstall it on an SD Card with 128 GB free. Can I do that through the Software Manager?

manually move the binaries after install, or install from source, move the binary files in a folder on your SDCard, and then you can symlink that folder to ~/.local/bin

you can then manually create desktop entries and add them to ~/.local/share/applications

most of the programs on your computer are in /usr/bin
