Problem booting installation media from ventoy

Hey! So i switched to linux 3 months ago, i did not like linux so much and most of my drifting / simracing games dont support linux lol. I started Win10 installation and All i got was a blinking cursor.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. plug in USB (ventoy)
2. Restart
3. Smash f12/del (boot menu)
4. select ventoy usb
5. select win10 iso
6. boot normally into the iso file

Expected Behavior:
i expected for it to show up a windows logo, and for it to start the installation. Unfortunately, i didn't.

Actual Behavior:
Blinking cursor (infinite) when booted normally in the iso.

Additional Information:
Im running linux mint CINNAMON 22, x64 system, x64 cpu, ati radeon hd 5450, LEGACY bios.

boot the usb from the BIOS BOOT MENU as a uefi storage drive

I will do that, but i always distro-hopped perfectly fine with legacy strg device

if it still doesnt boot windows installer, go back to ventoy2disk setup, use the clear option in menu,

then after it clears, redo it with GPT option

I get windows logo, but blinking cursor on top and it won't boot up installation

then go back to the BIOS setup, if it's uefi capable, that is more compatible with modern windows

It can run uefi perfectly fine, I need to sleep tho. I'll see you tomorrow

may also have to do a command prompt thing in the windows installer to write a new partition table cuz it may not see the main storage in the GUI section of the winstall

ill try and see if i can run it from RUFUS using my other laptop
could be ventoy issue

when you select Windos in ventoy, press advanced and run checksum or something like that. then check with the iso you have on your desktop, because good luck finding a sha256 from microsft

i used rufus to startup windows installation
when i finish installing i will install ventoy back on the usb

i realized i could have done this with ventoy aswell, it just takes 10-30mins

I just had to wait for it to load LMFAO
