I installed some mouse cursors that I wanted to try out and most of them worked, but one didn't work and I cant seem to find out why. I got the file from Ping.com as well for context if that helps. also the cursor I was trying to get is this one https://www.cinnamon-look.org/p/1354435

check the folder that it has the theme immediately within it, and not buried deeper in other subfolders

Too my knowledge it seems to be the correct folder, the pathway seems to be identical to one of the working cursors, and when I open the cursor file it seems to have the same type of files in them. I worried that it might be the file itself

does it simply not appear in themes:Advanced?

pretty much yeah, it updates bc the file was added, but after that nothing happens and the option to choose it doesn't appear.

#

thats whats moslty confusing me

remove it from usr/share/ icons and put it in ~/.icons

Wen I search for ~ it comes up as VAR is that correct?

no

#

it's ur user folder.

#

turn on hidden files view

#

or
cd ~
ls -a

that for terminal?

pearl dragon
#

I typed the ls -a in terminal, do I just type in acces icons or something like that

#

I opened the Icons folder from the terminal and I placed the cursor folders into there, it didnt seem to work there either.

I guess they're faulty then. probably some bug in the .theme file

#

btw, you can do alt+shift+printscr to do a windows screenshot.

thanks I was wondering how to do that

#

is it possible to do a custom screenshot, that I can adjust what I want to take a picture of
