#What is the difference between Linux mint and Linux mint debian edition?

if i've done my research correctly.... linux mint is based primarily on ubuntu....... and ubuntu is based on debian. Now linuxmint debian edition is linuxmint without ubuntu.
indeed, regular linux mint is based on ubuntu, while lmde is based on debian
Debian/ LMDE: No PPA usage (private package archive)
no Driver Manager
no Ubuntu repositories (don't add, either)
