My friend @amber warren is having issues with all the unbuntu mirrors being unreachable, i dont know why, and was hoping someone here knew why.

try to visit the repo URL with web browser and see if connects. Perhaps GUFW or UFW (software firewall) is on and blocking?

http://mirror.its.dal.ca/ubuntu/ this one worked fr me, but a brazilian one was unreachable
