Hello, first of all I would like to say that I have posted this https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxmint/comments/1e4x9os/rtx_3060_isnt_working_properly_in_linux_mint/ in the subreddit, and am posting this here because 1. WAY more issues have started to arise and I want this to reach more people. So, long story short, the RTX 3060 does not work in Linux Mint properly at all, it works.. decently in Windows 10 dual boot. When this issue really started to arise is a few minutes ago, where I was watching youtube, and decided to open a new browser tab, which completely froze my entire system with alot of graphical artifacts on my screen. Even my mouse and keyboard dont work. Yes restarting the PC solved it but I have had so many issues with this GPU that it cannot be ignored. Part of me thinks its a hardware issue but it works in Windows 10, so why doesnt it work in Linux Mint? I can confirm that this is indeed an issue with my GPU and not an issue with my CPU, RAM, etc. Infact I took out the GPU just to be sure and the PC ran on integrated graphics completely 100% perfectly, so something is clearly wrong with my GPU. I have had this GPU for around 3-4 months. If you would like to learn more about the issues ive faced, please read the reddit post and the comments in it. Ive done so much stuff and have so much stuff saved on this computer so distro hopping/ resetting is something I really want to avoid. I use Linux Mint as my primary OS in my dual boot and only use Windows when I need it for a specific software. I use my PC for streaming, gaming, recording, animation software, 3D modeling, youtube watching, and local media files.

Just going to get rid of this GPU and get an AMD one instead

either Secure Boot should have been turned off in BIOS before installing Linux, or see the last bits of that link re: registering SB driver
