if you want to keep windows go for option 1
In the tutorial video he said to opt for 3
But when I installed Ubuntu dual boot I went with option 1
if you want to erase everything and fully migrate to linux, go for option 2
no, dont go for option 3, it is for those who have knowledge
Oh okay
it is prone to happen some shit
What tutorial video?
From ExplainingComputers?
😂😂
His video is good you can follow that.
but it is the truth
Some Ksk royal
Hold on
Now I opted for option 1
Ah shit
now follow the steps, dont need to overcomplicate things
How to set up a dual drive dual boot, with Windows on one drive, Linux on the other, and the BIOS boot menu used to select between them. Video also demonstrates a single drive dual boot setup.
The Linux distro shown in this video is Linux Mint 21, which I cover in a video here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s74cta1cpRY
And I have a tutorial ...
He also explains the normal single drive dual boot process
Option 1 is fine, no worries
Were you the guy who asked if they could install on different drives?
I deleted ubuntu
Installing mint now for better feel
Okay option 1 should be good if you wanna keep Windows
Thanks for helping me out
I am not able to see Linux mint in boot priority order even after installing😭
To delete ubuntu , I directly deleted the partition but it still shows up in priority order
Does the worng way of installation has anything to do with it?
@pliant arch @coral bridge <@&1147444036827893780> @weak jay
you will need to go for the option 3 and delete the ubuntu manually
try entering the firmware and changing the priority of the thing
Option 3 while installing mint?
ah linux mint appears as ubuntu if i am not mistaken
use the grub to select systems
windows mask other systems
Yeah I am aware of that
Finally able to use mint now
Thanks for helping throughout!
These options define how the installer handles the disk. What exactly is your issue now?
Everything's fine now
Thanks!
Enjoy, then
