i dont get that far, i dont get to the live desktop at all

no it doesnt boot at all

choose UEFI USB device to boot from.

try with ventoy flasher then.

and set its option to partition style: GPT before installing it to the thumb drive, and afterwards, u may simply copy an ISO to it
