#rEFInd can't boot arch Linux properly

hey all, I'm encountering a problem where booting arch using refind always drops me into the energy shell. when I boot using grub, it works normally. when I boot with refind but use the "minimal" boot option, it also works. I believe my boot arguments are somehow broken. anyone can help me set them properly?

#

these are my boot options. as you can see, the regular one (first) is configured inproperly. I used the refind-install script when in arch-chroot to install refind.

okay the fix was stupid easy. I booted properly with grub, and then removed the existing refind install, then ran the installation script again.

@plain vector it is extremely stupid but basically refind-install assumes the boot arguments of your running system is already correct

#

Which when you’re chrooting from archiso it very much isn’t

#

There’s a warning on ArchWiki on this topic

It's trivially easy on Arch to setup UKIs these days

#

Which skips the bootloader entirely and load your kernel (with a stub) directly

I do dualboot
