I have a Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon system with an AMD Ryzen 3 3200G processor/graphics. For some reason this monitor will only show black when turned on if the computer was started without the monitor being on, however, if I restart the computer (using the reset button) while the monitor is turned on, the monitor displays the desktop correctly. This monitor does have issues with power management, so it might just be the monitor itself, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for anything I could try to resolve this issue. The monitor is plugged in via HDMI.

As a workaround, you can unplug and replug the monitor, see if that fixes it. Also, with that generation of APU, there were kernel regressions in the 5.15 LTS branch. Perhaps switch to a different branch, see if that fixes it.
