#arch not booting says error preparing initrd: not found

leave the usb with the arch installation iso in for the entire session until fully installed
or is that message occuring after attempting to boot from the hard drive?
Well it was when attempting to boot from the drive
Is what you mean to redo the installation because I followed mutahars guide on it and did it all up until taking out the usb I don’t really want to lose that process yk what I mean
it's obviously incomplete so u may have to reinstall
That’s all good better to do that than anything else
what u can do to learn to troubleshoot is
use another live usb with a premade distro like Mint, and u can view the folders on ur HDD using a comfortable file manager in the live desktop mode. initrd i think supposed to live in /boot of the HDD
Yeah I have a usb with mint on it already I can go ahead with that thank you for the advice lol
I will reinstall arch on my main pc just to make sure if that is the wiser option to resolve my issue
Yeah want me to view the files on my usb with arch?
No, just to view what got installed to thee hard drive
I mean idk if I can do that all I got on my pc is arch but my laptop runs off of mint
boot Mint usb live, then go to hdd device
I would if I could rn sadly
I cannot due to me not having mint installed on my main pc as of right now
u dont have a spare usb stick with Mint iso etched?
.
I do have one with a mint iso etched onto it
My bad did not think to much been a long day😭
there you go. it may not fully solve ur issue, but just to at least inspect the folders/structure
have a peek in the arch /boot folder etc
Ok it did I am all good thank you sm!😭😭😭
