I "switched" with bash cmd from Mate to Cinnamon, but i read it was better to install Cinnamon instead.
The trick is that i've got my stuff and settings saved on Timeshift.
Any advice?
Can i use Timeshift on CinnamonISO, so i can keep most of my original settings?

it will make everything back to MATE desktop

just stay with MATE desktop, then install Cinnamon.

and switch in the login screen

i think in synaptic search tasksel and install it

then run tasksel in terminal to install Cinnamon DE

or prepend with sudo

Stunner, i'm still doing other stuff, sorry. I'll admit that i'm a newbie with Mint. And i"m also experimenting with Fedora on my laptop. Linux is another universe to me. I'll transit when i'm ready to do it. Timeshift will save me lol.
