#CRITICAL BUG: Mint 22's terminal does not show commands when entering after using stacer
20 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
prob. need sudo prepended
but if stacer cleans the stuff, why bother with the terminal?
can also use bleachbit for in-depth junk cleanout
But if i use bleachbit then i cant wipe out the trash files in the linux recycle bin. Any solutions?
of course you can
it has 2 runnable modes. trash is definitely deletable
I tried but when i checked the trash bin in the nemo file manager the trash files are still there
were u in root-mode bleachbit? that's probably why
usermode should easily take care of it, and if not, well it super easy to empty bin manually in file manager
no. i use the avg user bleachbit, and it didn't delete for me.
The Linux "Trash" location -ie. Recycle Bin is located at:
/home/mint/.local/share/Trash/files
it shouda worked. anyway u need to run the root mode to clean apt, logs, system caches, so tick off Trash bin there as well
Remember to report bugs to the team, https://github.com/linuxmint/mint22-beta
alright thanks
you probably got the Flatpak version, which is crap. Get the real version of Bleachbit.
-and then run the menu item: "Bleachbit (root)"
No i installed bleachbit via command line. Sudo apt install bleachbit
great then u should have the last line I wrote
i ran bleachbit root but it encountered the same issue
