also wait there is another problem
I tried installing zoom by installing the deb file from their website but once I opened the deb file I saw the software manager running to install it for me but an error happened I tried to close one of the windows of the first installation ( the installation that I got error from it ) but I can't and now I reopened the deb file and seems like it is ok but the problem is that I can't close the window I mentioned before
Try a reboot
but that window is still there
What window? Terminal? GDebi?
this is it
I can't close it
this happened after the error I told you about then I reopened the deb file to install it again and seems like it is good for now but this window is still here I can't close it pressing the x button doesn't do something and the same thing with alt-f4
In terminal sudo killall gdebi-gtk
I don't see it now
actually as a beginner in linux sometimes I feel like I messed things up so I go back to timeshift but the problem is some stuff is still the same and some of it has been changed
I mean after using timeshift
I don't think timeshift backs up the home directory and that is why some things don't change
is there is a way to back up everything
When I wanted to back up everything I booted a USB with clonezilla on it and cloned one drive to a different one. If I had a failure, I could just swap drives then
is it ok to use unactivated windows
That would probably work
