I am trying to play games on my windows drives while on linux. I tried following this guide: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/wiki/Using-a-NTFS-disk-with-Linux-and-Windows and as far as i can tell all the drives are mounted correctly but the games won't launch. ill press launch in steam and itll just stay on launching and hang there

Yup, some games will work, but not all games can run without issues, explore the games you want to play here https://www.protondb.com/explore
kill steam
run steam in terminal
hit play on a game
and watch how proton is launching the game with 'its hanging on launching' using terminal
get an idea to the problem at hand
i get a disk write error trying to use proton experimental but with the other proton versions it doesnt work
if i start the .exe directly for some games it works fine
what games
Try this, see the output from the terminal
