Do you have any timeshift backups from before that?
If yes, boot from a live pen (with Linux mint), then open timeshift on the live mode of Linux mint and restore to that period. After that reboot the system
I think so yes
Is there anyway to boot without a live version
You said that you were able to access and login from the TTY, I never tried but I believe it might be possible to restore from the terminal, let me give it a look here
Alright
Ok so I logged in
Or atleast I inputted the password
@summer quarry I managed to boot into a old Linux kernel and I tried to delete the one I was updating and I get this
Ok, run the command dpkg --configure -a on the terminal
I did
what's the result?
you can send me the last result or if theres an error, warning, or anything red at all
this is last result
From the messages it seems to be updating the kernel and nvidia drivers, the drivers probably didn't finish updating the last time, reason why you had the issue
If the update has finished you can reboot and see if it works, try to boot with the most recent version of the 6.5 kernel (which was updated) to see if it works
alright ill do it now
ok i've booted in no issue
thank you a lot my final quesstion is should i delete this thread
You don't need to do that, adding [solved] in the title might be enough I believe
alright thank you a lot you've saved me from reinstalling
