can't provide a full summary because i genuinely have no idea what caused this. laptop starts fine but just... doesn't finish booting ever and stays stuck on a dark screen. the only thing i can think of is i ran mints program updater thing kind of recently. even just a starting point would be really useful. not a new user exactly but an extreme newbie at actually doing things with linux. ive never had an issue like this before. the solutions i found online dont work because i cant access terminal or boot from usb
