When I try and boot it will load me into the HP loading screen and after that it will just send me back to an old sreen. I can go through the grub screen before select advance then go to an old version and that works fine. How can I fix this? I am rather new to linux

I did the recovery in grub (apart from file explore or whatever it's called didn't work)

#

And now when I boot up I get extremely high cpu usage, extremely laggy, and fans go crazy. Still manages to boot

#

Loading into previous kernal gives me no problems
