Hello. I am running i3 window manager on my laptop and using mint cinnamon. After some time my pc goes to sleep mode. Everything works fine before that. After wake up, second monitor stays black and doesn't start at all. Can someone help me with that problem? Thanks.

Hello again! I have done alot of research and now I am really close to finding the answer. I checked then what happens and obviously the problem is that standby mode which turns my external monitor off. I wonder if it‘s possible to turn it on automatically when moving mouse or pressing a key in that standby mode?

@lament spindle try using xset and send the dpms on command

And see if that turns the display on

It does i had to turn it off

Can you confirm? Mint cinnamon uses 5.15 too
