I have no idea about the inner workings of Flatpak, but there are some people around who do.

might not even need to deal with this because of this #1235601794365788180 message however thatll be in a few days and i still want to figure out what the solution to this even is / what the issue is and as in issue i mean cause

i dont know the command used to increase or decrease brightness from a key, ik theres this one thing that just does gamma instead of baklight (same thingish just makes it cooler/blue shade) but u cant do it incrementally. hwoever.... i realized u can probably have a keyboard shortcut with the brightness keys to a script that

  1. adjusts brightness by a 0.1 point
  2. dont go under 0.1 or over 1
  3. twi different script files one for + and one for - bc idk how u could do one for both keys (if u can id rather not deal w it c too convoluted and im dumb)

however... yeah im in CS (not in college yet im starting in august) but ive been too long away from cs because i took all the cs classes in hs already and dont have one this year bc im too ahead bc of middleschool magnet program and they only taught me java lol and i dont think .sh stuff uses java. ALSO i cant figure out how to have .desktop files run sh scripts or appimages.. at most i can from caja do ctrl shift click drag to desktop

ok problem solved just do same thing for the file instead of the folder. new issue, get rid of the emblem bc properties emblem just adds another one. but i think its like symlink so if i do figure that out wouldnt that make me seeing the symlinks in file browser like super hard
