An admittedly silly question but I got to ask to ease my paranoia. I mistakenly enabled lightdm using systemctl (I thought I'd ssh'd into another machine). I checked online and looks like mint uses mdm instead of lightdm. Is it safe to disable lightdm ? How can I confirm I'm using mdm. I'd hate to turn on my machine one day and not be able to access the gui. Fortunately there is timeshift!

Upon further looking I think lightdm is enabled by default
I do get a warning that xlocal is deprecated and gkr-pam: unable to locate daemon control file
My guess is that I didn't mess up anything with my tinkering.
Mint's used lightdm for years
good to know
