I turned my computer on today and it looks like this now, it used to have a custom background, a panel at the bottom, and a completely different panel on the top. Oh, and it used to be in dark theme. WHAT HAPPENED???

Well, I solved it with sudo apt remove gnome-shell . . . , but what even happened???

u installed and switched to the gnome desktop environment, is what happened.
