Can you run the 2 commands at https://gist.github.com/jeremyb31/a2bee9856d8c13f42f1835bc31bf9480 in terminal and post the URL after the second command is done?
for the first command it says unable to resolve host addess 'github..com' and the 2nd command it says no such file or directory
No internet access at all to the Lenovo?
nope no internet at all when i right click on the wifi icon its 2 options Network settings and Network connections
Can you use USB tethering to a smart phone?
i cannot, im willing to just order a usb wifi dongle if thats what it takes but after i get the dongle what should i do?
update the drivers?
Can you copy results for this command in terminal lspci -nnk | grep -iA3 net
Network Controller [0280]: Realtek Semiconductor
Anything more?
Try the Mint 21.3 edge version, it has the 6.5 kernel that supports that wifi device
Linux Mint is an elegant, easy to use, up to date and comfortable desktop operating system.
this?
That appears to be the correct one, at least it shows Edge ISO and that has the newer kernel
so this is basically the same as the one i installed just has an updated kernel?
In terminal uname -r
It likely shows 5.15 if you installed the normal version
yes it does
The Edge ISO should fix it as I know it supports that wifi
ok thankyou for your help!
