I have been unable to get past the GNU installer every time I hit enter for start Linux I get a black screen and my keyboard turns off.

I am unsure what to do I just recently decided to try and make the jump to Linux.
Secure boot is turned off

Used BalenaEtcher to make install driver

Specs are:
Ryzen 7 7700X
RX 7600
MSI PRO B650-P WIFI Motherboard
2TB Crucial T500 NVME

Any help is appreciated thank you in advance.

That is current hardware. Mint is on an old LTS kernel - you need the Edge ISO, with its newer kernel.

Okay thank you I shall try that in just a moment

The reason was, your Radeon 7600 did not even exist when that 5.15 LTS kernel was compiled.

Oh that is interesting

Mint follows the Ubuntu LTS cycle. It will roll over this summer, but until then, we are riding a two-year-old kernel. The Edge ISO exists for hardware enablement, so anybody on new hardware should pick that for now.

Oh alrighty I will make sure I keep that in mind if I need to reinstall for any reason

Have fun. Feel free to mark this as asolved if you deem it so.
