#Bluetooth keeps disconecting again..

Hi there, you may try upgrading the kernel, had the same issue and that fixed it for me. If it doesn't work or breaks something else, please revert back to the older kernel (the one being used right now)
Could you explain how to do that?
Now my Bluetooth controller is in the reconnecting loop...
The simplest way would be going into the system update manager app (you have that in your system tray/panel) and click the view tab. There you can find the option to upgrade the kernel.
It's pretty straightforward and also tells you what to do in case things don't work out as expected
I'm assuming you are running Mint as it is with the older kernel version it comes with as default
My current Kernel is 5.15.0-94-generic
which should I choose to update that?
Pick the latest available kernel
It'll be listed at the top
but 6.5.0 seems older than my 5.15 which seems like a newest one
Generic maybe that's why..
Don't worry, go ahead, kernel receives upgrades very frequently.
so 6.5.0-18 should help with the Bluetooth after install right?
The currently installed kernel won't be removed. In case you feel like switching back, just boot into BIOS/UEFI or GRUB menu directly and then you can go into advanced settings which will let you boot with any installed kernel you want. You can then remove the ones you don't need.
I hope so. It did with mine, might help with your case too.
So i changed the kernel to the 6.18 a new update pop up should i install that?
thats a kernel update
Changed and there's an update available already? Well go ahead.
But since you have changed the kernel now, are you still facing any issues?
well, I'm trying to connect any device now but it's looping for a few seconds and stops trying to parry
i can't update by a update manager tho
i'm just thinking bout changing distribution tbh
Wait.. that's not really necessary
Can you just restart your system and then check maybe?
tried that didn't worked
i mean, yesterday i did some terminal thing with bluetooth but that was more like a restart bluetooth by a command or smh like that
and from that moment i think it started to just loop infinitely rather than reconnecting every few minutes
Maybe something like systemctl restart bluetooth.service
Can you try that again maybe?
Honestly I'm also a beginner to Linux and had the same problem and kept reading articles online and trying all sorts of workarounds to get this thing working and after 2 days I finally got it to work by upgrading the kernel as suggested by many.. I hope someone can propose a solution..
that fixed reconnect loop
So does it work now?
it's work for a 30 minut right now so maybe
I'll test that for a hour or so more to be sure
thank for help anyway you're very helpful:)
I hope it does work as intended now..
It seems that this problem is still appearing...
I am getting this same issue on kernel 6.5.0-21
And this only just now started with me and it also is still cutting out when playing any kind of video through firefox. I thought this was an issue with pulseaudio, but I have pipewire installed from a fresh install myself.
ye that's just weird cuz after changing Kernel that worked for a day or so
It's really annoying cuz I can't play when controller disconnecting after every 15 minutes
bump
From my understanding is it has something to do with the pulse audio that it's using and I think given that the distribution still has pulse audio along with pipe wire it still has the issue because of the version of pulse audio that it's using.
So deleting pulse audio could resolve Bluetooth problems? As mint at this moment has installed defaulty pulse audio AND pipe wire?
if the issue is a wireless game controller pad, then it has nothing to do with pulse audio
